Important Change
***** Amendment to $1 Coin Law
*****
The House of Representatives and the Senate have passed an amendment
to section 5112(p)(1)(A) of title 31, United States Code, which
revises the requirement that all vending machines operated by
federal agencies and instrumentalities accept and dispense $1
coins. The amendment exempts from such dispensing requirement
any vending machines that do not receive currency denominations
higher than $1.
